- Why is buying post consumer recycled cover stock important?
- You will be surprised by how much impact you make when buying post consumer recycled products! In addition to saving some trees, your purchase will: Save energy wasted in harvesting virgin materials, preserve oxygen-producing forests, eliminate landfill waste, prevent harmful dioxins, furans, chlorines, and other carcinogens from entering our ecosystem, our water, our food, and our lives. You will also help create a more sustainable planet!
- How much post consumer recycled content do your flecked cover stocks contain?
- Every recycled cover stock paper we provide has a minimum of 80% post consumer recycled content, with most of them containing 100% post consumer content. Most of our papers are also processed chlorine free, FSC certified, Carbon Neutral Plus, Green Seal certified, made with Green-e Renewable energy, and made in the USA.
- Are your flecked cover stocks American made?
- Yes! Dolphin Blue's products are only made in the United States. Buying American made products is important in fostering strong local economies. Buying local provides jobs for your neighbors and creates prosperity for your community. Sourcing only American made items significantly reduces the environmental footprint of our products, saving great amounts of fuel and resources otherwise used to transport foreign made products from overseas.
- What machines are compatible with your recycled card stock papers?
- All cardstock provided by Dolphin Blue are guaranteed to perform flawlessly on all office printers and copiers. Because of the thickness of cover stock papers, they are not easily fed through printers and copiers without utilizing the bypass feed area of your printer. Consult your user manual prior to printing cover stock papers on your printer. These are not pre-perforated papers.
- What paper weight do you recommend for cover stock paper?
- Cover stock papers come in a variety of paper weights. Our recycled cover stocks come in weighs of 80 lb, 100 lb, 120 lb, 130 lb, and 160 lb double thick cover stock. 80 lb cover is the standard weight used for most business cards. Upgrading your paper weight will give your printed item a sturdier feel and give it more lasting value.
- Do you provide printing on your recycled cover stock papers?
- Yes! We print exclusively with soy-based inks to ensure the most environmentally friendly printing process possible. Please check out our customer printed items section in the left navigation bar to see our standard printed items offering. Our standard options include recycled printed business cards, recycled note cards, recycled printed file folders, and recycled printed CD sleeves. - What does Carbon Neutral Plus mean?
- Products made Carbon Neutral Plus are created in ways that reduce carbon emissions and conserve Earth's natural resources and habitats. These products have reduced carbon footprints through investments in energy conservation and renewable energy resources.
- What does Processed Chlorine Free mean?
- Processed Chlorine Free means the item is whitened without chlorine or chlorine-containing compounds. Buying PCF products helps prevent chlorine produced dioxins and toxins from entering our ecosystem, which deteriorate the environment and pose health risks to our immune and reproductive systems.
