All Dolphin Blue’s Mailing & Shipping Envelopes are made utilizing minimum 20% post consumer (Brown Kraft ONLY) recycled waste fibers. Many office envelopes and stationery envelopes offered by Dolphin Blue contain 100% post consumer recycled waste fibers that are also certified processed chlorine free as well as being FSC-Certified.
* Post-consumer recycled fiber is derived from paper that is recovered from the waste stream. That paper was used for its intended purpose and then placed in a bin for recycling. Through successful collection and processing, fiber from the recycled paper has been given a second life.
The higher the post consumer recycled fiber content used in making recycled Mailing & Shipping Envelopes, the more environmentally responsible that paper is. Current state-of-the-art for post consumer recycled content in recycled brown kraft envelopes is 20% PCR. Paper with 100% post-consumer recycled fiber is paper that uses no virgin wood pulp. In essence, free of virgin tree pulp.

Using recycled paper (in making Dolphin Blue’s envelopes) that is processed chlorine-free means that the paper has been made without the use of chlorine or chlorine-containing compounds, eliminating the possible formation of dioxin, furans, and organo-chlorines.
