24lb. Writing Paper is standard weight paper for Fine Business Stationery Envelopes and Business Note Card A2-size (4 3/8 x 5 3/4) Envelopes. 70lb. Text and 80lb. Text are heavier then 24lb. Writing, 80lb. text being heavier than 70lb. Text. All envelopes listed on this page are made from 70lb. Text paper with regular gum, adhesive seal closures (the gum must be moistened to seal the envelope). All Dolphin Blue's envelopes offered are 100% post consumer recycled, containing NO virgin wood fiber, all are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified by Smartwood, some are processed chlorine free, while others are made Carbon Neutral with Green-E certified renewable wind energy. All selections are printed with soy ink. 100PCR are envelope papers and printed envelopes comprised of 100% post consumer recycled waste fibers, using NO virgin wood pulp nor tree-derived fibers.
100PCF are envelope papers and printed envelopes comprised of 100% post consumer recycled waste fibers that are processed chlorine free, preventing additional potentially-harmful chlorine compounds, dioxins and organo-chlorines from entering our vital water ecosystems, thereby reducing the risk of adverse human health effects and chemical influence on fellow species.
100FSC are envelope papers and printed envelopes comprised of 100% post consumer recycled waste fibers that have been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council as having been produced in a manner that retains healthy forests and ecologically-viable and species-diverse habitat. Some, not all, of the 100FSC papers are also 100PCF.
Using 100% post-consumer recycled and processed-chlorine-free papers and envelopes benefits all of us. The benefits are as follows:
· Substantial energy is saved (generally, 95% of the energy used in making virgin pulp papers).
· Oxygen-producing forest habitat is preserved.
· Landfill-destined waste is eliminated.
· Dioxins, furans and organo-chlorines (known carcinogens) are prevented from forming in our ecosystems by whitening with hydrogen peroxide and utilizing an ozonation process, as opposed to bleaching with chlorine or chlorine-containing compounds.
If you have artwork/design files:
When uploading your art/layout files, please upload a PDF (minimum 300 dpi) with the design file. To be able to view your art/layout file, it is mandatory we have a PDF that we can easily open. Our print plant is located in another building, away from where we view your PDFs (they have Macs, we have PCs).
We print your order from the following file types:
· .eps
· .tif
· .PDF
Please provide your art/design file to Dolphin Blue at minimum 300 dpi (dots per inch), 600 dpi is preferable.
Acceptable design programs:
· Adobe (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, PDF)
· QuarkXPress

Upon completion of your order with Dolphin Blue, you will have the ability to upload your design files.
Dolphin Blue does ALL printing with soy-based inks, except where thermo-graphed, foil-stamped or other processes prevent us from doing so.
If you do not provide print-ready artwork/files, there may be additional charges for setup and make-ready -- minimum charges will be $75.00 for such prep work.
The following may incur additional costs, above and beyond the costs displayed on pricing page(s):
· Papers that are not shown ($50.00 extra - the papers shown are easily available because we have them in stock - other papers may need to be special-ordered and cut to size, incurring additional costs. Linens, Laids, Felts, Vellums, etc. may be available. For these special papers call 1(800) 932-7715.
· Trapped images, close registration, or hairline registration in your artwork/design ($34.00 additional). For example click here.
