A7 (5 1/4 x 7 1/4) 70 lb. TEXT Invitation & Announcement Envelopes have a Square Flap and a Booklet-Style design (flap runs along long dimension, top/back).  The seal is a regular gum adhesive (the gum must be moistened to seal the envelope). All Dolphin Blue's envelope papers offered are 100% post consumer recycled, containing NO virgin wood pulp fiber. All envelopes are certified for FSC standards.

What types of recycled writing papers can be used to manufacture Invitation Envelopes?

The following weights are available and are listed in order of their thickness and durability - 24 lb standard writing paper - 70 lb text paper (approximately equal to 24 lb) - 80 lb text paper Papers are available in limited weights according to the manufacturer.

What papers do you recommend for post-consumer recycled social and invitation envelopes?

Dolphin Blue recommends stocks that are 100% Post Consumer Recycled. We carry several lines of these papers, in whites, naturals, and flecked tones. To help sustain our environment, these green papers are certified for FSC standards, are processed chlorine free, and most are made with Green-e certified renewable wind energy. Colors are always difficult to see accurately over the internet; please phone Dolphin Blue to discuss your project and hear recommendations for stocks.

What are the available sizes for invitation/social envelopes?

A2 - ( 4 3/8 x 5 3/4),  A6 - (4 3/4 x 6 1/2), A7 - (5 1/4 x 7 1/4),  A8 - (5 1/2 x 8 1/8),  A9 - (5 3/4 x 8 3/4),  A10 - (6 x 9 1/2). Special sizes for individual mailings - please call for minimums and quotes.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom and social envelopes?

It depends upon the size of the envelope. Unlike many providers, Dolphin Blue can often provide A- size envelopes in quantities as low as 500 to 1000.

Can you match envelopes and recycled card stock for invitations?

Yes, in some papers we can match recycled stocks. Please phone us for information.
